Week One. Done.

I have successfully completed my first week of interning. I survived. I am so looking forward to what I’ll be accomplishing this summer. There are great things in store for me. 

I had orientation stuff all week, then my first official day was Thursday. I do have my own office, but my computer and phone weren’t set up yet so I had no real tasks. I spent most of the day staring out the window and tweeting. 

I’m more than ready to be paid, my bank account is so dry it’s not even funny. I need to go get more “grown up clothes” too. I’ve learned that my closet doesn’t really reflect what’s expected in the workplace.. 

I did have to put in a clear retainer for my nose ring during the week. I bought a size smaller so the hole would close up a bit and not be so obvious when I take it out for good, but I’m having trouble finding a decent ring to put in on the weekends. Any suggestions on where to find quality rings? 

I’ve only seen Mason once since school ended. This summer is not half as terrible as last year, but I would like to spend a bit more time with my boyfriend.. But both of us have different agendas this year and neither of us have much time to spare. We will be just fine.

First day.

Today was my first day as a SRS intern. I had to be at the Jackson Municipal Building at 6:45 am… Left my house at 5:55. I just had General Employee Training, so today was kind of awful.

I get to sleep in tomorrow - 6:00 am! Tomorrow I’ll go get my badge and spend some time on site. 

It’s already past my bedtime.. So I’ll drink my chocolate milk and bid you adieu. Goodnight, Tumblr.
